Why Visit Dolpo?

Dolpo is one of Nepal’s most hidden and beautiful regions. It offers high mountains, clear lakes, old monasteries, and unique Tibetan culture. Visiting Dolpo feels like stepping back in time to a place untouched by the modern world.

We also believe in giving back to the community. By choosing us, you are supporting local guides, porters, and families. Due to which, it is helping them earn a living and keep Dolpo’s culture alive.

What people say about their trips

  • Nepal trekking at it's best

I have trekked with Norbu 3 times now, first in 2019 on the Lower Dolpo Circuit, then in 2021 through the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve and most recently in 2024 around Manaslu Himal. Norbu is a very attentive guide with excellent cultural knowledge being a resident of the Phoksundo national park. I was excited to hear that he had established Dolpo Caravan Treks and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them if you are looking for a memorable Himalayan adventure. Please read the review from Martyn H (who I trekked with around Mansalu) if you need more convincing.

  • Incredible trip with Dolpo Caravan Treks

My sister and I had a fantastic 10-day hike on the Lower Dolpo circuit camping along the way. We were so well looked after by the team with incredible tasty food and comfortable tents. The team were so welcoming and friendly and it was an added bonus that they were locals who could share their history with us along the way. An absolutely magical part of the world! Despite it being monsoon season we only had a few rainy days and really enjoyed the experience, especially as we were pretty much the only foreigners on the track!
