Our family-run eco-lodge, Shey Phoksundo Gateway Inn, nestled in the heart of Dolpo Shey Phoksundo National Park, has been serving trekkers since 2022. With a solid commitment to sustainability and local hospitality, our lodge offers a cozy retreat for guests exploring the beauty of Phoksundo Lake and Upper Dolpo.

At Shey Phoksundo Gateway Inn, we pride ourselves on providing basic yet comfortable amenities for our guests. With 15 eco-friendly rooms, a separate washroom facility, and a traditional kitchen and dining area, we ensure our guests have a pleasant and authentic experience during their stay.

To complement our hospitality, we have established a greenhouse to grow fresh vegetables for our kitchen. This not only sustains our own needs but also enriches the dining experience for our guests, offering them wholesome and locally sourced meals.

During the winter months of January, February, and March, we temporarily close our doors and enter a hibernation period. This allows us to maintain our facilities and prepare for the upcoming trekking season with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

As a registered local enterprise, we take pride in being the only lodge in our village. We greatly value the feedback we receive from our guests. We view feedback as an opportunity for improvement and are committed to addressing any issues, continuously striving to enhance our hospitality standards.
