Meet Chime Tsewang, a local from Dolpo currently residing in Kathmandu. His journey into the world of yoga began at the tender age of 13 when he sought relief from chronic constipation. Through a chance encounter with a stranger who imparted basic yoga knowledge, Chime's life took a transformative turn. Since then, his passion for yoga has only deepened, leading him on a journey across India and Nepal in search of wisdom and practice.
After more than eight years of dedicated practice, Chime decided to formalize his expertise by enrolling in international yoga teacher training at Nepal Yoga Academy. He successfully completed his yoga teacher training in 2015, followed by a 500-hour master-level training in 2016.
In addition to his yoga journey, Chime pursued a bachelor's degree in psychology, aiming to bridge the ancient science of yoga with modern psychological principles. This integration reflects his commitment to understanding the mind, body, and consciousness holistically.
Chime's dedication to yoga extends beyond personal practice; he is also passionate about sharing its benefits with others. As a yoga teacher, he has helped both local residents and foreign visitors find solace and wellness, particularly during the challenging times of the pandemic.
