Meet Tsewang Ngoedup Gurung, a dynamic member of our team hailing from the breathtaking Phoksundo Lake Dolpo. At just 22 years young, Tsewang brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our endeavors.
Educated at Tapriza School and Saraswati Higher Secondary School in Dolpa, Tsewang has been actively involved in conservation efforts since 2019. Starting as a volunteer for Snow Leopard Conservation, he quickly gained expertise in the field, leading to his current role with the Phoksundo Snow Leopard Conservation Committee.
Tsewang's contributions are invaluable, encompassing camera trapping, scat collection, GPS monitoring, and blue sheep counting. His dedication to protecting the endangered snow leopard species is evident in his relentless efforts to observe and understand their behaviors.
As part of our trekking company, Tsewang serves as a Snow Leopard Spotter, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests while traversing the stunning landscapes of Dolpo. Fluent in English, Kham (his mother tongue), and Nepali, he bridges communication effortlessly, enriching the experience for all involved.
